2025 Zurich Classic of New Orleans: How to Watch

The unique team competition on the PGA Tour, the Zurich Classic of New Orleans, is set to tee off this week at TPC Louisiana.

A field of 160 players will compete in 80 two-man teams. Headlining the event are defending champions and Ryder Cup partners Rory McIlroy and Shane Lowry, who secured their victory last season in a playoff over Chad Ramey and Martin Trainer.

This tournament marks Rory McIlroy`s return to competition following his historic win at the 2025 Masters, where he achieved the career Grand Slam.

The format includes two rounds of foursomes (alternate shot) and two rounds of four-ball (best ball). After 36 holes, the field will be cut to the top 33 teams and ties. The winning duo will each receive $1,329,400 and 400 FedEx Cup points.

Since transitioning to a team format in 2017, the event has provided opportunities for players to pair up based on nationality, college ties, or friendships. The tournament scoring record is held by Nick Hardy and Davis Riley, who finished at 30-under 258 in 2023.
