Alexander Bublik – Lowest-Ranked Player with Multiple Top-10 Wins at Roland Garros

World number 62, representing Kazakhstan, Alexander Bublik, has made history at Roland Garros by becoming the lowest-ranked athlete to secure multiple consecutive victories over Top-10 ranked players at the tournament since Ukrainian Andriy Medvedev, who was ranked 100th in 1999.

In the Round of 16 match, Bublik successfully overcame the world number five from Great Britain, Jack Draper (5), with a final score of 5/7, 6/3, 6/2, 6/4. This followed his second-round victory at Roland Garros where Alexander defeated Australia`s Alex de Minaur, currently ranked ninth.

Furthermore, Bublik`s impressive performance marks another milestone: he is the first representative from Kazakhstan to reach the quarterfinals of a Grand Slam tournament.

Contending for a spot in his first-ever Grand Slam semifinal, Bublik is set to compete against either the world number one Italian, Jannik Sinner, or the world number 15 Russian, Andrey Rublev.
