World No. 2 German tennis player Alexander Zverev shared his impressions of the current part of the season.
“I am still focused on Roland Garros, but Rome is one of my goals for the season. I can`t wait to compete against Sinner, hopefully in the final of the tournament. Let`s see what happens this time, it will be very interesting. He has regained strength and trained hard, improving his strokes and movements. It will take him very little time to return to the level of the Australian Open.”
“After Melbourne, it was very difficult for me. I went to play in South America, but returned from there with disappointment and severe fatigue. I would have gladly rested, but business is business: tennis is my job, I couldn`t refuse. Let`s be clear, the place and the fans were special, but I feel better at home,” Zverev said in an interview with La Repubblica.
It is recalled that at the Australian Open 2025, Zverev lost to Jannik Sinner in the final with a score of 3/6, 6/7(4), 3/6. Then the German lost his third Grand Slam tournament final in his career.
