Alexandra Eala, a 19-year-old Filipina tennis player ranked No. 140 globally, shared her thoughts on how her recent success at the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami, USA, could boost tennis development in her homeland.
“I hope my achievements bring positive changes. The best way I can give back to my country is to inspire people to get involved in tennis and watch more matches.”
“I strongly believe that tennis in the Philippines has significant untapped potential. Even though it`s not as popular as other sports, we have many talented athletes. If we can secure the needed support and public interest, Philippine tennis can achieve great success,” Eala stated.
