Filipino tennis player Alexandra Eala, ranked 74th in the world, shared her thoughts on her performance after defeating Varvara Gracheva 7/5, 2/6, 6/3 in the Eastbourne tournament semi-finals, securing her spot in a WTA final for the first time in her career.
`The match was tough,` Eala noted during her on-court interview. `Varvara is a very strong opponent, and at certain moments, she was completely in control. I had to adjust to her game. This match was a real test for both of us, especially considering we both started the tournament from qualifying. Reaching the final in Eastbourne is a huge achievement for me.`
