Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova Introduces Her Current Coaching Staff

Former world No. 11 Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova has shared details about her current team.

Reflecting on team changes, Pavlyuchenkova mentioned her past experiences with a French coaching team after her successful Roland Garros 2023 run, and later collaborations with Italian coaches. She acknowledged that team dynamics evolve, noting that not all coaches are available for constant travel or possess the ideal skill set.

When asked about the specialists she`s currently working with, Pavlyuchenkova openly named them. Her team includes Yannick Mertens from Belgium, who serves as her sparring partner. Mertens has a history on the Tour, having been ranked in the Top 200. Another Belgian, Jos Grevig, is also part of her team. Grevig, who previously assisted Tsitsipas in developing his one-handed backhand, worked with Pavlyuchenkova from Cincinnati through the US Open and during pre-season, though he has since returned home after Adelaide. Completing her team is Fabian Donsbach from Germany, who operates behind the scenes, focusing on analytics and creating her training programs. Pavlyuchenkova humorously noted that she unintentionally ended up with a Belgian-German team, as shared in her interview.
