Andrei Arlovski Stops Terrance Hodges with Brutal Cut in Dirty Boxing

Former UFC heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski has broken his near three-year winless streak.

Arlovski faced Terrance Hodges in the co-main event of Dirty Boxing 1, held at The Hangar in Miami on Saturday night. This marked Arlovski`s first fight after his departure from the UFC in June, which followed a split decision defeat to Martin Buday at UFC 303. The 46-year-old veteran utilized sharp elbows, opening a significant cut on Hodges` face. This prompted the ringside doctor to halt the contest at 2:00 in the second round.

“The Pitbull” demonstrated his experience from the outset, patiently waiting for Hodges to engage. The fight became clinch-heavy due to Hodges` aggression, but Arlovski effectively used elbows in these close quarters. Hodges managed to land body shots, but Arlovski consistently found his mark with jabs when space allowed. Arlovski concluded the first round strongly with a flurry of elbows and punches.

In the second round, Arlovski increased his offensive output and inflicted a severe cut on Hodges. Upon examination, the doctor decided to stop the fight.

This victory under the Dirty Boxing banner ends Arlovski`s four-fight losing skid. He is anticipated to debut in GFL later in the year, representing the Los Angeles team.
