‘APEX needs to die’: Fans React to Current UFC Product State

Paraphrasing a well-known saying, the current era presents a duality for the UFC: a time of great success and significant challenges.

Financially and in terms of global presence, the UFC, the leading MMA promotion, is undeniably thriving. The TKO-governed entity consistently reports record profits and anticipates further growth, especially with upcoming broadcast rights negotiations expected by 2026.

However, this financial prosperity doesn`t necessarily translate to a better experience for the typical fan simply wanting to enjoy fights. With more than 40 events annually, and the supply of top-tier fighters seemingly not keeping pace, many feel the UFC has oversaturated the market, potentially causing burnout even among dedicated fans.

For instance, one recent analysis highlighted how diluted the fight cards have become. It noted that a recent event (UFC Vegas 107), despite having only nine bouts and losing its main event just before starting, remarkably didn`t rank among the poorest shows held by the promotion so far this year.

This situation has sparked considerable discussion within the MMA community, with many fans sharing their perspectives on the current state of the product.
