World number one Aryna Sabalenka shared her experience with coaches who suggested she give up playing professional tennis.
“It wasn`t about them pressuring me too much. I was always sufficiently motivated, and they didn`t need to do that. But I did hear many of them saying I was too stupid and had no chance of reaching the top. I just laughed and said, `We`ll see`.”
Speaking at a press conference, Sabalenka added, “Now, I`d like to send them a short message: they should quit. Honestly, I don`t think they understand anything, and they should leave their position to save other players.”
