Atlanta Drive Golf Club secured the inaugural TGL championship by defeating New York Golf Club in a thrilling final match. The Tuesday night showdown marked the second game of the best-of-three series.
Building on their initial victory of 6-5 against New York GC on Monday, Atlanta Drive GC clinched the championship with a 4-3 win in Tuesday`s game, completing a clean sweep to lift the SoFi Cup.
Representing Atlanta were golf stars Billy Horschel, Patrick Cantlay, and Justin Thomas, while Lucas Glover was absent from the lineup. New York`s team featured Xander Schauffele, Cameron Young, and Rickie Fowler, with Matt Fitzpatrick sitting out.

The TGL championship attracted a star-studded audience. Among the notable attendees were actor and comedian Keegan-Michael Key, popular streamer Ninja, and former NFL quarterback Matt Ryan.
Cantlay`s Close Call for Early Lead
Following a missed putt by New York`s Young, Patrick Cantlay had a chance to give Atlanta an early advantage on the first hole. Despite a seemingly perfect 20-foot putt, the ball narrowly missed the hole, keeping the score tied.
Schauffele Puts New York in the Lead
New York broke the deadlock in the triples segment of the match. Xander Schauffele`s excellent first shot set up his team to take a 1-0 lead on Hole 7, landing the ball within five feet of the hole.
Young Extends New York`s Advantage
NYGC capitalized on their momentum from Hole 7 by scoring again on Hole 8. Cameron Young`s near-perfect approach shot landed just 15 inches from the cup. New York opted to use the hammer to double the hole`s value, but Atlanta declined, still awarding New York a point.
New York Leads 3-0
New York further distanced themselves from Atlanta at the start of the singles matches. Schauffele`s victory over Thomas on Hole 10 extended New York`s lead to 3-0.
Horschel Puts Atlanta Ahead on Hole 14
After gradually narrowing New York`s lead in the singles portion, Atlanta finally took the lead on Hole 14. Rickie Fowler`s first shot landing in the bunker opened an opportunity for Atlanta to use the hammer. Billy Horschel seized the moment, sinking an approximately 18-foot putt to give Atlanta a 4-3 lead, ultimately securing the championship on Hole 15.
