The highly anticipated UFC 315 event is rapidly approaching, and the main event fighters, Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena, are confirmed and ready for their bout.
Set to take place this Saturday at the Bell Centre in Montreal, Quebec, the card is headlined by their welterweight championship clash. On Friday, the two competitors faced off for the final time during the ceremonial weigh-ins, exhibiting palpable intensity and eagerness for the upcoming fight.
Following the faceoff, Muhammad addressed the crowd, stating, “Jack is a dead man walking. Tomorrow, and still, inshallah! You guys are gonna witness greatness, baby!”
Muhammad, currently on an impressive 11-fight undefeated run, is preparing for his first defense of the welterweight title. He captured the belt with a dominant decision victory over Leon Edwards at UFC 304. Muhammad was originally slated to defend against Shavkat Rakhmonov at UFC 310 in December but withdrew due to injury. Rakhmonov`s subsequent injury ruled him out of UFC 315, paving the way for Della Maddalena to step in and receive this significant title shot.
Also featured on the card is a women’s flyweight title defense, where champion Valentina Shevchenko puts her recently reclaimed belt on the line against undefeated challenger Manon Fiorot. Shevchenko regained the title by securing a decision win over Alexa Grasso at UFC 306, concluding their rivalry. Fiorot, maintaining a perfect 7-0 record in the UFC, earned her shot by defeating Erin Blanchfield in March 2024.
