12-time Grand Slam singles champion Billie Jean King has commented on receiving her star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.
King stated that she was the first woman to receive a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame in the sports entertainment category, expressing immense honor and gratitude.
She thanked numerous individuals, including the Hollywood Chamber of Commerce, Magic Johnson, and Jamie Lee Curtis, for their kind and inspiring words during the opening ceremony, as well as everyone else who contributed to making this incredible day possible.
King believes she may be the first woman to receive a star in this category but certainly not the last, encouraging continued progress.
