Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, currently ranked as world number two, is scheduled to undergo an MRI scan on his hip. This was reported by Marca.
The discomfort arose during the final match of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, where Alcaraz was defeated by Denmark`s Holger Rune.
During the match, Alcaraz felt discomfort in his right hip adductor muscle. The extent of the injury is currently unknown.
Following the Barcelona tournament, Rune is expected to climb to the 9th position in the global rankings, while Alcaraz will descend to 3rd.
