Charles Oliveira Wins 2025 UFC Community Award

Charles Oliveira has been named the recipient of the 2025 Forrest Griffin Community Award.

This annual award, presented during UFC`s International Fight Week, is personally selected by UFC CEO Dana White and honors fighters for their significant charitable contributions. At the UFC Kansas City event on Saturday, Oliveira was announced as this year`s honoree for his work with the Charles doBronxs Institute, which offers hundreds of local young people the chance for a better future through free access to arts, education, nutrition, and jiu-jitsu training.

Oliveira will officially receive his award at the 2025 UFC Hall of Fame induction ceremony in June.

“Charles is not only a great athlete but also a fantastic role model who is passionate about giving back to his community,” White commented on Oliveira. “Charles does an excellent job assisting the local youth in Sao Paulo by providing free education and jiu-jitsu training at his institute, directly helping them build better lives. It`s an honor for me to present him with this award.”

The former UFC Lightweight Champion will also receive a $25,000 donation from the UFC Foundation to the charity of his choice.

Oliveira is currently awaiting his next octagon appearance, following a decisive decision victory over Michael Chandler at UFC 309 in November.
