Controversy as Bellucci and Dzumhur Skip Handshake in Madrid

World No. 66 Mattia Bellucci and world No. 63 Damir Dzumhur did not engage in the traditional handshake following their first-round encounter at the Madrid Masters.

Dzumhur emerged victorious from the match with a final score of 4/6, 6/4, 6/2. Reports indicate that at the net, Bellucci initially extended his hand towards Dzumhur but then pulled it away at the last moment. Bellucci reportedly offered his hand again, but Dzumhur subsequently declined to shake it.
