Two-time Olympic biathlon champion, Dmitry Vasiliev, has commented on Washington Capitals hockey player Alexander Ovechkin`s intention to return to the KHL after his current contract with the club expires.
Vasiliev stated, “Ovechkin`s return to Russia and our league would be a momentous event and a response to a certain `great` tennis player. Alexander has lived in the USA for 20 years, and he still wants to return to Russia, he loves and remembers his homeland, unlike Kasatkina.”
He added, “She needs to watch her tongue, correct herself, and look up to true patriots like Ovechkin. Such misguided athletes need to take an example from Ovechkin to come to their senses.”
