Great news for the Poirier family: they will be expanding by the end of the year.
Just days after UFC fighter Dustin Poirier confirmed his final career bout – a BMF title contest against Max Holloway scheduled for UFC 318 in July – his wife, Jolie, shared equally significant personal news. She announced on social media that the couple is expecting their second child, due in December.
Jolie Poirier posted about the upcoming arrival, saying, “Fight news wasn’t the only secret we were keeping from you… WE’RE HAVING A BABY! Sweet P will be a BIG SISTER FINALLY.”
Known as “The Diamond,” Dustin Poirier is set to make his last walk to the octagon in the main event of the UFC`s July pay-per-view card. This event is anticipated to take place in New Orleans, close to Poirier`s home. The fight marks the third time Poirier and Holloway will face each other. Their previous encounters include Holloway`s UFC debut in 2012 and an interim lightweight title fight headlining UFC 236. Poirier was victorious in both prior meetings.
Max Holloway secured the BMF title he will defend against Poirier with a memorable, last-second knockout victory over Justin Gaethje at UFC 300 in April 2024.
