World No. 26 Ekaterina Alexandrova discussed her victory over Zheng Qinwen in the Charleston tournament quarterfinal, where she won 6-1, 6-4.
In an on-court interview, Alexandrova said, `Of course, it wasn`t easy for me. Even though the score might have looked straightforward at times, every game was close and intense. I was aware of her strong serve and overall game. I tried to capitalize on every chance I got. I`m pleased with my performance today and thrilled to be in the semifinals again.`
