Gen.G Crowned MSI 2025 Champions After Overcoming T1

Gen.G has secured the Mid-Season Invitational 2025 championship title, defeating their formidable rivals T1 in the grand final of the League of Legends tournament. The highly anticipated best-of-five series concluded with a 3-2 scoreline in favor of Gen.G after a hard-fought battle.

This result sees the team featuring legendary player Lee `Faker` Sang-hyeok, T1, finish as the runner-up in the prestigious international event. While T1 showcased exceptional skill throughout the tournament, they were ultimately unable to overcome Gen.G in the decisive final match.

For their victory, Gen.G takes home the MSI 2025 trophy, a substantial first-place prize of $500,000, and, critically, secures an automatic qualification slot for the 2025 World Championship. As the second-place team, T1 receives $300,000. The third position was claimed by the team Anyone`s Legend, earning them $240,000.

The Mid-Season Invitational 2025 was held from June 27 to July 13 in Vancouver, Canada. The tournament brought together ten of the strongest League of Legends teams from various competitive regions to compete for international supremacy. The event featured a significant total prize pool of $2 million, marking a substantial increase from the previous year – reportedly seven times larger – highlighting the expanding scale and importance of the Mid-Season Invitational in the global esports calendar.
