Russian tennis player Irina Khromacheva celebrates her 30th birthday today. We join in wishing her success both on and off the court.
Born on May 12, 1995, in Moscow, Khromacheva began playing tennis at the age of four. Her parents, Pavel and Natalia, are involved in business.
She turned professional in 2010. In singles, she has claimed one WTA 125 title and 18 ITF titles. In doubles, her success is more significant, with eight WTA titles, five WTA 125 titles, and 33 ITF titles. A recent highlight includes winning the WTA 1000 event in Wuhan in 2024 with partner Anna Danilina.
As a junior, she was highly successful, winning three Grand Slam doubles titles (French Open 2011, 2012; US Open 2011). She also reached the girls` singles final at Wimbledon in 2011, finishing runner-up to Ashleigh Barty.
Khromacheva represented Russia in the Fed Cup, reaching the final in 2013. Her career prize money earnings total $1,422,516.
She is currently ranked No. 15 in the WTA doubles rankings. Her career-high singles ranking was World No. 89, achieved in February 2017.
Off the court, her interests include reading, watching movies, and listening to music.
