Henry Cejudo is experiencing a very eventful April.
Recently, he reported assisting in the capture of an individual who allegedly drove into his neighbor`s property and then attacked the neighbor. Now, Cejudo himself seems to be a target of crime.
According to an Instagram video posted by Dylan Rush, Cejudo’s producer, a burglar broke into Cejudo`s studio on Tuesday. At the time, the former Olympic gold medalist and two-division UFC champion was sleeping there. The intruder stole Cejudo’s original UFC championship belt.
Rush stated, “Someone broke into Henry’s studio at 4:45 a.m. last night and stole his first UFC belt while I was asleep on the couch. I woke up and observed the person standing there for a couple of minutes, mistaking him for Henry due to the darkness. Then, I heard a noise when the shelf fell, and the guy fled.”
Cejudo initially won the UFC flyweight title by defeating Demetrious Johnson at UFC 227. He later secured the bantamweight title against Marlon Moraes at UFC 238. After a brief retirement in 2020, Cejudo returned to the UFC in 2023 but has since experienced three losses, most recently against Song Yadong in February at UFC Seattle.
