Danish tennis player Holger Rune, winner of the ATP 500 tournament in Barcelona, shared his thoughts on his success. In the final, he defeated Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz with a score of 7-6(6), 6-2.
According to Rune, he had a difficult start to the match due to nerves. However, he managed to find his game as the match progressed.
“This victory is very important for me. It was a great match. At the beginning, I was a bit nervous because Carlos is playing amazing tennis. I needed to breathe properly and find my rhythm.”
“When Carlos got a break, I started to play better and found my tennis. The first set was a real battle. It was very important to win it, to seize the moment. I am very proud of myself,” said Rune.
