World No. 5 Jack Draper shared his thoughts following his fourth-round defeat to World No. 62 Alexander Bublik of Kazakhstan at Roland Garros. The match concluded with a score of 7-5, 3-6, 2-6, 4-6 in favor of Bublik.
“I`m incredibly disappointed with the result,” Draper stated in his post-match press conference. “Obviously, entering the clay court season, I had barely won any matches on clay. But I came into this tournament feeling positive. I felt like my level was improving. Today, this loss is particularly hard to bear. Despite my rapid rise in the rankings this year and achieving a strong position, I`ve consistently faced numerous setbacks, injuries, and difficult periods. This match is another challenging one. I plan to learn from this experience, improve, and use it going forward.”
