World No. 6 Jack Draper offered congratulations to Casper Ruud following his victory at the Madrid Masters. Draper was defeated by the Norwegian player in the final match, with the score being 5-7, 6-3, 4-6.
Reflecting on the outcome during the awards ceremony, Draper addressed his opponent: “First and foremost, I`d like to congratulate Casper. This is your first Masters title, and you absolutely deserve it. In the crucial moments today, you were bolder than I was. You`ve earned this victory through so much hard work and consistently demonstrating a high level in tournaments. Congratulations to you and your whole team; you`ve done an incredible job.”
Speaking about his own performance and the defeat, Draper added, “Losing is painful, but I want to express my gratitude to my team, my mom, and my brother for their support.
