Seasoned middleweight fighters Jack Hermansson and Gregory Rodrigues are set to compete at UFC 317, the promotion`s traditional International Fight Week pay-per-view event scheduled for June 28th. The confirmation of this matchup has been made.
The headline bout for the card, which is slated to take place at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas, has not yet been revealed by the promotion.
Hermansson (holding a record of 24 wins and 8 losses) is making his comeback to the Octagon after a 16-month absence. His last appearance resulted in a unanimous decision victory over Joe Pyfer. The Swedish middleweight, with an 11-6 record within the company, has experienced a sequence of wins and losses over the past six years, since his four-fight winning streak was ended by a Jared Cannonier uppercut.
Rodrigues (with a record of 16 wins and 6 losses) had built momentum in the UFC with wins over Denis Tiuliulin, Brad Tavares, and Christian Leroy Duncan. However, he faced a setback in a main event bout against Cannonier last February, suffering a knockout loss in the fourth round. The former LFA champion boasts a strong record inside the Octagon, having won seven out of ten fights, collecting four bonuses, and securing five finishes by knockout.
