Jake Paul Threatens Legal Action Against Critics Calling Fights Staged

Jake Paul is determined to put an end to persistent false claims and accusations surrounding his boxing career.

Following his recent decision victory against Julio Cesar Chavez Jr., well-known media personality Piers Morgan voiced strong criticism of Paul`s performance. Morgan described the fight as an “unwatchable farce” and suggested it was “staged.”

This prompted a reaction from Nakisa Bidarian, co-promoter for Paul`s Most Valuable Promotions. Bidarian stated that the company is exploring various legal options, including potential action against Morgan and anyone else alleging that Paul`s fights are fixed. Paul himself publicly reinforced this threat.

“After years of letting it slide as just ‘haters being haters,’ I have asked my team to vigorously go after anyone who makes up lies about my boxing career. Expect to get served you pigs.”

Allegations that Paul`s bouts are fixed or predetermined have been present since he first entered the sport. These claims peaked notably after his decisive knockout win over former UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley in their second fight in December 2021, and again more recently following his decision victory against former heavyweight boxing legend Mike Tyson in November.

Across his last eight professional boxing matches, Paul has secured seven victories. His wins include notable opponents such as former UFC middleweight champion Anderson Silva, as well as past UFC competitors Nate Diaz and Mike Perry.
