A women`s flyweight contest has been added to the Ultimate Fighting Championship`s (UFC) return to Atlanta.
Insiders with knowledge of the promotion`s arrangements have verified that Jamey-Lyn Horth and Tereza Bleda are scheduled to compete at UFC Atlanta. The event is slated for June 14 at State Farm Arena.
Horth will be making her fifth appearance in the octagon, having experienced a mixed record of wins and losses during her UFC career. Her most recent fight saw the 35-year-old suffer a unanimous decision defeat to Miranda Maverick at UFC Tampa in December. Despite this, the former LFA flyweight champion has secured promotional victories against Hailey Cowan and Ivana Petrovic.
Bleda is aiming to prolong her winning streak after achieving her first UFC victory in her latest match, where she won a unanimous decision against Gabriella Fernandes. The 23-year-old is making a comeback almost two years after that win, following her withdrawal from a previously scheduled fight with Casey O’Neill at UFC 305 last August.
