Jenson Brooksby on Reaching Eastbourne Final as Lucky Loser: “Playing Freely Without Extra Expectations”

World No. 149 Jenson Brooksby commented on his victory over Hugo Humbert in the Eastbourne tournament semi-final, with a score of 6/7(7), 6/4, 6/4.

He spoke about his mindset: “I felt pressure in the match, but overall it was less than usual. Getting into the main draw at the last moment gave me the freedom to play without extra expectations, and I tried to make the most of this chance.”

“Returning to big arenas means a lot to me, especially considering the physical challenges,” Brooksby added in his on-court interview. “Playing decisive matches in front of a large audience is what I love. I`m happy to be back here.”
