American tennis player Jessica Pegula has reached the semi-finals of the WTA 1000 tournament in Miami. She shared her expectations for the upcoming matches. Pegula hopes to reach the final of this tournament for the first time, as in 2022 and 2023 she was stopped at the semi-final stage, losing to Iga Swiatek and Elena Rybakina respectively.
In the semi-finals, Pegula will face Alexandra Eala from the Philippines, who is currently ranked 140th in the world.
“I love playing here, I love playing at home, I love winning at Dolphins stadium. I hope third time’s a charm. I really want to make the final, so I’m going to try to do that tomorrow,” Pegula said after her quarterfinal victory.
