Former world No. 1 and seven-time Grand Slam champion, Justine Henin, has shared her perspective on the recent loss of Spanish tennis player Carlos Alcaraz, currently ranked third in the world, at the Miami Masters.
“It`s clear he is going through a period of reflection. At just 21 years old, with four Grand Slam titles already, he still has much to learn to navigate these challenging phases successfully.”
Henin added, “From the beginning of his career, everyone has been talking about Alcaraz`s extraordinary tennis. Spectators admire his game and are keenly following his progress. He is aware of all this attention and the pressure it brings. I am a little concerned about the emergence of Fonseca and the hype around him,” Henin stated, as reported by We love tennis.
In the second round of the Miami tournament, Carlos Alcaraz was defeated by David Goffin with a score of 7-5, 4-6, 3-6.
