Kennedy Blades Unleashes Signature Suplex

Olympic silver medalist Kennedy Blades, a top global wrestler, is becoming known for consistently deploying her distinctive signature move, the suplex, in competition.

Demonstrating her powerful suplex, a move reminiscent of one used during the 2024 Paris games where an opponent sustained an injury, Blades recently executed it again in tournament play. During a stunning sequence on the mat, she lifted her opponent high into the air.

Fortunately, unlike the incident in Paris, this recent use of the move did not result in injury. Blades was dominant throughout, securing a decisive 13-0 technical fall victory to advance in the competition.

The 21-year-old prodigy trained under coach Israel Martinez, a figure prominent in the MMA community who has coached notable fighters like Jon Jones and Holly Holm. While Blades has hinted at a potential future in mixed martial arts, her immediate focus remains squarely on winning Olympic gold at the 2028 games in Los Angeles.
