Both KSI and Dillon Danis have reacted to the postponement of their Misfits Boxing 21 event.
The organizers announced on Friday that KSI is sick, and the entire event, originally planned for March 29 in Manchester, England, has been delayed to a later date. The new date is expected to be announced next week. This is the second time a fight between KSI and Danis has been scheduled, and it is uncertain if all parties will agree to a third attempt.
KSI posted a video on social media explaining the reason for the delay in his first public statement.
“I tried my best, but my body has simply given out,” KSI said. “I am currently in bed, taking antibiotics, trying to recover, but it’s difficult. I am constantly coughing up green and yellow mucus.”
“I tried sparring and training, but my body feels weak. My stamina is drastically reduced.”
Danis, predictably, showed no sympathy for his opponent.
KSI and Danis both fought on The Prime Card in October 2023, where both experienced defeats.
In the final part of his statement, KSI expressed hope that the fight can be rescheduled so he can fulfill his promise to defeat Danis in the ring.
“I want to move the fight to another day because I still intend to knock out Dillon Danis,” KSI stated. “I didn’t train this hard for nothing.”
