The UFC`s upcoming event in Montreal just got even more exciting.
A lightweight fight between Benoit Saint Denis and Joel Alvarez has been confirmed for UFC 315 at the Bell Centre.
Saint Denis is looking to return to winning form after suffering two recent losses. Prior to these setbacks, he had an impressive streak of five finishes in the lightweight division. This earned him a fight against Dustin Poirier at UFC 299 in March 2024, where he was knocked out. In his last fight in Paris, Saint Denis was defeated by Renato Moicano.
Alvarez is currently on a three-fight winning streak, having won seven of his last eight bouts. After a loss to Arman Tsarukyan in February 2022, Alvarez has secured finishes against Marc Diakiese, Elves Brener, and Drakkar Klose in December.
UFC 315 is headlined by a welterweight title fight between champion Belal Muhammad and Jack Della Maddalena, and features Valentina Shevchenko defending her flyweight title against Manon Fiorot as the co-main event.
