Logan and Jake Paul once staged a potential fight tease as a marketing tactic for their HBO Max reality show, Paul American. Although they both started in influencer boxing and helped establish the scene, hinting at a real brother vs. brother bout has been a recurring theme.
Currently, Logan is primarily dedicated to his professional wrestling career. Jake, conversely, has continued in boxing, where the article states he holds an 11-1 record and is set to fight Julio Caesar Chavez Jr. in June.
Despite the ongoing discussion about them fighting, Logan suggests a boxing match is highly improbable but hasn`t ruled out competing against his brother in a different sport.
Speaking on his podcast, Paul stated he would only fight Jake under MMA rules. He conceded that Jake would likely win a boxing match at this point due to his “heavy hand” and added that such a fight would require an “insane amount of money.”
Jake himself previously signed with the PFL with the intention of transitioning to MMA, though he appears increasingly focused on his boxing career as time passes.
Logan also mentioned on his podcast that he reached out to UFC CEO Dana White about potentially fighting in the octagon but received little response, indicating the promotion was likely not interested.
While a Paul vs. Paul fight seems unlikely, Logan did make significant efforts to arrange a boxing match between his brother Jake and KSI, his former rival turned business partner.
Logan`s own boxing journey began with two fights against KSI, the British influencer who later went on to create his own promotion, Misfits Boxing.
Although Logan and KSI have long since buried their past animosity and successfully launched an energy drink company together, talks about a potential showdown between Jake Paul and KSI have persisted.
Logan revealed that he tried desperately to coordinate the fight but a major sticking point prevented it from happening.
He stated he “gave it 110 percent effort,” but the primary hurdle was a disagreement over weight class.
According to Logan, KSI was willing to move up to 190 pounds, and Jake would come down to 192.5 pounds – a difference of only 2.5 pounds. However, Logan emphasized the impact of weight cuts: Jake, a natural heavyweight who reportedly walks around 225 pounds, would have to cut a significant 30+ pounds, which Logan believes severely hampers performance. In contrast, KSI, walking around lighter at 180-185 pounds, would need to gain weight, potentially sacrificing speed and reactivity.
Logan believes this weight discrepancy was the main reason the Jake vs. KSI fight fell through, and he isn`t sure either fighter is interested in revisiting the negotiations.
He summarized the issue, noting KSI would be slower from gaining weight while Jake would be “drained” from cutting. Logan expressed understanding for both sides, describing the situation as “super unfortunate,” and remains uncertain if the fight will ever happen.
