Italian world number nine Lorenzo Musetti shared his thoughts on his upcoming fourth-round clash with Russian world number eleven Daniil Medvedev at the clay court Masters 1000 event in Rome.
Medvedev holds a 2-0 head-to-head advantage over Musetti, with both previous encounters taking place on hard courts in 2023.
`I think I have good chances,` stated Musetti. `Daniil is a difficult opponent. I`ve never played him on clay before – this will be our first meeting on this surface. He seems to be enjoying the conditions here this year. It`s going to be an exciting match. I`m pleased to be going into it feeling confident and playing well,` Musetti told reporters in an on-court interview following his third-round win.
