American tennis star Madison Keys, currently ranked No. 5 in the world, secured a victory against Elina Avanesyan of Armenia (ranked 36th) in the second round of the Miami Open. Keys won in straight sets, 6-3, 6-3.

The match lasted for 1 hour and 18 minutes. This was the first time the two players had competed against each other.
