Top flyweight fighter Muhammad Mokaev is set to compete in the Karate Combat arena for his next bout.
A Karate Combat official confirmed to news outlets that Mokaev has officially signed with the promotion. This announcement follows Mokaev`s initial reveal on Twitter. His debut is scheduled for May 2nd at a Karate Combat event in Dubai.
Mokaev stated, “My original sport was karate before I transitioned to wrestling. I aim to stay active and improve my striking skills. While wrestling is always a reliable backup, I need to focus on developing my striking game.”
During his UFC tenure, Mokaev achieved a perfect record of 7-0. However, after his contract concluded following a victory over Manel Kape at UFC 304 in July, the UFC opted not to renew his contract.
Mokaev, ranked #10 globally, last competed at Brave CF 91 in December, where he secured a first-round submission victory against Joevincent So.
