Novak Djokovic Considered Retirement Over Vaccination, Says Ivanisevic

Renowned coach Goran Ivanisevic appeared as a guest on a podcast hosted by Croatian football coach Slaven Bilic. During their conversation, Ivanisevic reflected on his time working with Serbian tennis star Novak Djokovic.

According to Ivanisevic, the 24-time Grand Slam champion was willing to end his illustrious career rather than get vaccinated against the coronavirus.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Djokovic faced significant difficulties due to his unvaccinated status, which restricted his travel. Notably, Djokovic was controversially deported from Australia ahead of the Australian Open.

“Novak refused vaccination. He was ready to give up his career. No other elite athlete would have made such a decision.

The world turned against him, he was heavily criticized, but he remained true to himself. And now we talk about vaccines, and it is already known that some of them were harmful to health. We were locked up like sheep for three years. We were manipulated.

Novak never told anyone to refuse vaccination. He didn`t tell us that. We all got vaccinated, but he didn`t. He knew his body, knew his system, and understood what was best for him,” Ivanisevic stated.
