World No. 38 Emma Raducanu has spoken about her anticipation for Wimbledon. She is scheduled to face her compatriot Mingge Xu in the opening round.
I`m happy to be back. It`s a huge privilege to be here as part of the British team. There are a lot of Brits in the draw this year, and that`s great for everyone.
Honestly, I don`t have big expectations this season. I just want to get on court and enjoy myself. I want to feel the atmosphere of the tournament itself. I understand that the chances of playing at Wimbledon aren`t that high. It only happens once a year, and the number of opportunities is limited. That`s why I`m just really looking forward to getting on court and feeling everything around me – the environment, the spectators, the atmosphere.
