22-time Grand Slam champion and Real Madrid fan, Rafael Nadal, has commented on the possibility of his favorite team facing Barcelona in the Champions League final.
“It would be tough, but I would endure it. For Spanish football, it would be incredible. However, you can`t think about the final when you are still in the quarter-finals,” Nadal stated.
He added, “Barcelona is indeed playing exciting football. They are having a fantastic season and are strong contenders everywhere. At the same time, nobody should write off Real Madrid; they will fight for every title until the end, and we will see what happens.”
“Anything is possible, it’s the final stretch of the season. Injuries, a busy schedule – anything can happen,” Nadal concluded, as quoted by ESPN.
