Ryan Garcia Interested in Boxing Jake Paul

Despite an ongoing legal dispute involving Logan Paul, Ryan Garcia is considering a potential boxing match against Logan`s brother, Jake Paul.

The 26-year-old boxer recently shared his thoughts on the Paul brothers. While he was once friendly with Jake, his relationship with Logan soured due to comments Garcia made about Logan`s Prime Energy drink company, leading to a defamation lawsuit against Garcia.

Even with the unresolved legal situation involving Logan, Garcia clarified that he has no animosity towards Jake.

“I don’t really have a problem with Jake,” Garcia stated in an interview. “My issue was with Logan. I didn’t appreciate him calling me names when I was raising awareness about sex trafficking. I reacted strongly, and that’s where our conflict began.”

“I criticized his drink – I won’t repeat exactly what I said due to the lawsuit – and that’s how the negativity started.”

Looking ahead in his fighting career, Garcia is currently scheduled to fight Rolly Romero in May, and a victory could set up a rematch with Devin Haney.

However, when questioned about the possibility of facing Jake Paul in the boxing ring, Garcia embraced the idea, particularly considering the potential financial benefits of such a high-profile fight. Although he would concede weight to Paul, Garcia believes this would only postpone Paul`s inevitable defeat.

“Why not?” Garcia responded to the idea of fighting Paul. “Of course, I would give up weight. The fight has significant value. We would both make a lot of money. He clearly thinks he can win, but I believe he overestimates his own abilities.”

Jake Paul`s most recent fight was an eight-round decision against former heavyweight champion Mike Tyson, drawing over 100 million viewers on Netflix and significantly boosting Paul`s boxing profile.

While the level of achievement in Paul defeating a 58-year-old Tyson is debatable, Garcia believes the fight revealed important insights into Paul`s capabilities.

“Maybe five rounds, or four because of his weight advantage?” Garcia speculated. “But he didn’t even really hurt Mike Tyson, and Tyson is nearly 60 and unsteady on his feet.”

Ultimately, Garcia`s interest in a fight with Jake Paul is driven by business considerations, recognizing the lucrative potential for both fighters.

Garcia reiterated that he holds no personal grudge against Jake, regardless of his ongoing legal issues with Logan.

“I genuinely don’t have any beef with Jake, even now,” Garcia concluded. “He might have a problem with me, though.”
