Three-time Grand Slam champion Jannik Sinner commented on his preparations for Wimbledon 2025 following his defeat in the dramatic Roland Garros 2025 final.
“I am ready to play. What was in the past, stayed in the past – I`m fine now. Mentally, I`m in good shape. Halle felt different because I had very little time to reset, but now that`s all behind me. To be honest, I read a lot about the high level of that final, which is a privilege. I`ve been working hard and I`m well-prepared for the grass season; I hope to show that on court.”
Sinner also addressed the recent decision to part ways with his fitness trainer Marco Panichi and physiotherapist Ulises Badio, which occurred just days before the start of Wimbledon 2025.
“Nothing dramatic happened. Simply, after Halle, I felt the need for changes within my team. This hasn`t impacted me; I`m ready to compete. We worked well together, and I am very grateful to them for everything, but I just felt I needed something different. That`s the only reason; there`s nothing more to it.”
Panichi and Badio had joined Sinner`s team in September 2024, following the departures of Umberto Ferrara and Giacomo Naldi. Both Panichi and Badio had previously worked with Novak Djokovic.
