Toni Nadal, uncle and former coach of 22-time Grand Slam champion Rafael Nadal, has shared his thoughts on the performance of 19-year-old Alexandra Eala at the Miami tournament. Eala is currently ranked No. 140 in the world.
“I have always believed in this girl,” Toni Nadal stated. “It`s a significant achievement for us because she has been training with us the longest, almost six years. Throughout this time, neither she nor her family has ever complained.”

Beating opponents of this caliber indicates that with slight improvements to her game, she has the potential to break into the elite ranks of global tennis.”
