UFC Atlanta Announces 6 More Fights Added to Card Headlined by Kamaru Usman vs. Joaquin Buckley

The UFC’s anticipated return to Atlanta on June 14 is expanding its fight card with several new bouts, joining the already announced main event featuring former welterweight king Kamaru Usman facing Joaquin Buckley.

On Tuesday, UFC officials confirmed six additional fights for the event set to take place at State Farm Arena this June. This includes a welterweight clash between seasoned veterans Michael Chiesa and Court McGee.

Chiesa aims to extend his current two-fight winning streak, which includes submission victories over Max Griffin and Tony Ferguson. McGee also looks to continue his positive momentum after submitting Tim Means last October.

Undefeated prospect Mansur Abdul-Malik will make his second UFC appearance since earning his contract on The Contender Series, taking on Cody Brundage in a middleweight contest on the card.

A flyweight bout is also scheduled between Tereza Bleda and Jamey-Lyn Horth, a matchup that was first reported in early April.

Edmen Shahbazyan is set to return at middleweight, facing Andre Petroski in an intriguing style clash between a striker and a grappler.

Flyweight veteran Cody Durden will have the opportunity to compete in his home state of Georgia when he meets Jose Ochoa on the UFC Atlanta card.

Finally, Alonzo Menifield is back in action, challenging the undefeated Oumar Sy in an intriguing light heavyweight (205 pounds) contest.

As previously confirmed, the co-main event for the Atlanta show will see former two-time strawweight queen Rose Namajunas continue her run in the flyweight division against Miranda Maverick.

A complete and finalized fight card for UFC Atlanta is still pending confirmation ahead of the June 14th event.
