The UFC has released three fighters from its roster following their recent defeats in the octagon. Seung Woo Choi, Diana Belbita, and Istela Nunes are no longer under contract with the organization.
Belbita and Nunes were let go after suffering losses at UFC Vegas 105 on April 5th. Belbita was defeated by Dione Barbosa, and Nunes lost to Loma Lookboonmee.
Belbita entered the UFC in 2019 with a 13-4 record but leaves with a 15-10 record. She lost six of her eight UFC fights, including her last three. Her UFC wins were decisions against Maria Oliveira and Hannah Goldy.
Nunes, a former ONE Championship title contender, was removed from the roster after losing all five of her UFC strawweight bouts since October 2021.
Choi joined the UFC in 2019 and competed 11 times, facing well-known fighters like Movsar Evloev and Alex Caceres. However, he only won four times in the promotion. The South Korean featherweight had a 1-5 record since 2021, with his most recent loss being a first-round knockout to Kevin Vallejos in March.
