UFC London showcased impressive jiu-jitsu skills, particularly among the four fighters who received performance bonuses.
Sean Brady, Alexia Thainara, Shauna Bannon, and Kevin Holland each secured a $50,000 Performance of the Night bonus for their outstanding victories at UFC London.
Because there was no Fight of the Night awarded, four individual Performance of the Night bonuses were distributed.
Sean Brady highlighted the event by achieving a remarkable finish against former UFC welterweight champion Leon Edwards. Brady became the first person to defeat Edwards inside the distance, marking a significant win and solidifying his position as a top contender in the 170-pound division, extending his winning streak to three.
Alexia Thainara and Shauna Bannon also achieved submission wins. In her debut, Thainara used her strong ground game to submit veteran Molly McCann, leading to McCann`s retirement. Bannon recovered from a head kick to secure a skillful armbar against Puja Tomar.
Kevin Holland received a Performance of the Night bonus despite not winning by knockout or submission, which is unusual. He earned it through a dominant unanimous decision victory against Gunnar Nelson, showcasing his grappling skills by effectively out-grappling Nelson throughout the match.
This Performance of the Night award marks Holland`s eighth such bonus in his UFC career.
