UFC may soon be making a return to Brazil.
Reports suggest that UFC is currently in the process of organizing a Fight Night event slated for October in Brazil. The potential date is October 11th, with the Farmasi Arena in Rio de Janeiro as the targeted venue, though official confirmation is still pending.
The last time the promotion held an event in the country was in May 2024 at UFC 301, also held at the same venue in Rio. That event featured Alexandre Pantoja`s successful defense of the flyweight championship against Steve Erceg in the main event and saw Jose Aldo return from retirement to face Jonathan Martinez in the co-main event. UFC 301 drew an attendance of 14,514 spectators.
Currently, UFC broadcasts in Brazil are exclusively available through their proprietary streaming service, UFC Fight Pass. This follows the termination of their broadcasting agreement with Band TV at the beginning of 2025.
UFC CEO Dana White indicated in September 2024 that the organization was “working on a big deal right now down in Brazil” which he anticipated announcing relatively soon. However, no further announcements regarding either broadcast partnerships or specific events have been made public since that time.
