Kennedy Nzechukwu has withdrawn from his scheduled fight against Martin Buday this weekend.
Nzechukwu was originally set to face Buday in a main card heavyweight bout at UFC Vegas 105 this Saturday. However, the UFC announced on Thursday that Nzechukwu has been removed from the fight card. Uran Satybaldiev, who is undefeated, will now replace him and fight Buday in a heavyweight match. The reason for Nzechukwu`s withdrawal has not been disclosed.
Satybaldiev is the current LFA light heavyweight champion. In 2024, he became interim champion by defeating Bruno Assis in the fourth round. Just last month, he secured the undisputed title by submitting Leon Soares in the third round with a kimura, bringing his professional record to 9-0.
Buday joined the UFC in 2021 after competing on the Contender Series. He has had a successful run in the promotion with a record of 5-1. In his most recent fight at UFC 303, Buday won a split decision against former heavyweight champion Andrei Arlovski, in what turned out to be Arlovski`s final UFC fight.
