A new film is bringing the world of UFC to the big screen.
According to a press release, Zack Snyder will be involved in writing and directing Brawler. The movie will tell the story of a man from Los Angeles who climbs the ranks in the UFC, while “battling his inner demons as he fights for redemption.” Turki Alashikh, who is also a partner in TKO’s new boxing promotion, will be a co-producer for the film.
Currently, no information has been released regarding casting or a potential release date.
Dana White stated in the press release, “His Excellency Turki Alalshikh and Zack Snyder share a vision for a UFC film. They are both very enthusiastic about this project and want to show fans what it truly takes to become a UFC champion. This is a very ambitious project, and I am excited to see it unfold.”
Snyder`s previous directorial work includes movies like Dawn of the Dead (2004), 300 (2006), Man of Steel (2013), and Batman vs. Superman: Dawn of Justice (2016).
